Root No.3Barcelona, 2026
The series of lights emerged from material-led research into botanical structures and their translation into glass. The glass elements reference stem-like forms and are mouth-blown in flame, resulting in variations in diameter, curvature, and surface that cannot and should not be standardised. Each glass stem is individually formed and remains structurally irregular. Metal framework is designed to carry the weight of the glass and define its position in space. The metal acts as a support and heat sink during assembly, fixing the glass in a static configuration. Light is introduced through the structure, illuminating the glass directly and emphasising its thickness, transparency, and material variation.
